Index Strategy, as the main proponent, has been awarded by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) for "Feasibility Study on Overseas Development of Decarbonized Smart Cities" of "FY2022 Project for Contributing to the Efficiency of Energy Use in Emerging Countries (Feasibility study on international trends and overseas deployment by Japanese companies in decarbonized smart cities and related technologies in Asia)".
This study aims to develop an environmentally friendly, multi-fuel power generation system in the Santa Lucia, Puerto Princesa, which is designated as an “Environmental Estate”, by introducing and spreading hybrid power generation systems utilizing local agricultural and urban wastes as the fuel source with solar power generation in future.
Based on the ongoing cooperative relationship with the City Government of Puerto Princesa, Index Strategy will make best efforts to ensure that the project will be a pilot model of the “low carbonization model in islands” with the “Core Japan” scheme for the contribution to stable renewable energy supply and reduction of CO2 emissions.
