Acquisition of ISO27001

Index, Index Consulting, Index Strategy, Index Facilities and Social System Design, Inc. acquired ISO27001 (ISMS) certification in July 2016 in recognition of the importance of the assets they handle in their business activities. We will continue to implement appropriate measures to protect our information assets by appropriately operating ISO27001.

Basic Policy on Information Security

1. Declaration on Information Security Initiatives
Index, Index Consulting, Index Strategy, Index Facilities, Index Engineering and Social System Design, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Companies") are engaged in business related to project management. In order to earn the trust of our customers and other stakeholders and to maintain our business competitiveness, we need to implement appropriate protection measures for the important assets we hold in the course of our business activities, and protect them from security incidents and accidents such as loss, theft, and unauthorized use.The Company declares that it has established the "Information Security Basic Policy" (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") as a guideline for implementing appropriate safety measures for the assets in its possession, and that it will strive to prevent security incidents and accidents and to continuously implement information security measures.
2. Definition of information security
We shall ensure and maintain the "confidentiality," "integrity," and "availability" of assets in order to implement appropriate safety measures for information security. Confidentiality, integrity, and availability mean the following.
Confidentiality
A characteristic that makes information unavailable or private to unauthorized individuals, entities (such as groups), or processes. (Only authorized persons can access the information, and the information is protected from information leakage and unauthorized access.
Integrity
A characteristic that protects the accuracy and completeness of an information asset. A characteristic that protects information assets from tampering or errors.
Availability
A characteristic that enables information assets to be accessed and used when requested by authorized persons (entities). Availability A characteristic that allows authorized persons (entities) to access and use information assets when requested (to protect against loss or damage of information assets, system or service outages, etc.)
