Index Strategy, Inc. is pleased to announce that Mrs. Airi Ikedo-Okutani, Board Director, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Representative of the Spain Office, delivered a presentation at the seminar entitled “TICAD 9 Partner Project: Unlocking Africa’s Potential – Opportunities for EU (European Union) -Japan Business Cooperation,” organized by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation on December 11, 2025.

 

The seminar was held in the context of the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) and the EU-Africa Business Forum, with the aim of deepening international dialogue on sustainable growth, investment, and the green transition in Africa. The event featured discussions on policy frameworks, private-sector investment incentives, and case studies of joint projects, fostering active exchanges on strengthen business cooperation between Europe and Japan.

 

During her presentation, Mrs. Ikedo-Okutani shared practical insights on how European and Japanese stakeholders can collaborate in Africa, particularly in infrastructure investment and public-private partnership (PPP) projects. Her remarks offered perspectives on future EU-Japan cooperation models and approaches to project development in African markets.

 

The seminar also highlighted policy initiatives and financing mechanisms from both the EU and Japan, along with successful project examples, contributing to a deeper mutual understanding among participants regarding business opportunities and collaborative approaches in Africa. Further dialogue is expected to advance the creation of joint projects involving Europe, Japan, and African partners.
