Comments from Mr. Ikedo, Director of Index Strategy, were featured in NHK's news report on the relocation of the Indonesian capital.

In Indonesia, a project to relocate the capital city functions to Nusantara in eastern Kalimantan is underway due to the population concentration and overcrowding in Jakarta.
An NHK news report broadcast on August 17, 2011, "
Indonesia Ceremony at planned site of new capital to begin full-scale relocation of government agencies"," featured comments from Index Strategy Director Ikedo.

Index Strategy, a Tokyo-based company involved in overseas infrastructure development, is interested in projects to improve roads, water and sewage systems in the new capital.

Airi Ikedo, Director, who visited the site, commented, "I had the impression that the construction was more advanced than expected and the nature was beautiful. The Indonesian government has a concept of a smart city that makes use of forests, and I felt that this would be a good urban development project if it were realized.

On the other hand, regarding issues to be addressed in order to consider specific projects in the future, "If the Indonesian government would provide opportunities for related parties to gather and discuss financing for public-private partnership projects, it would be easier for foreign companies to participate in such projects.
