Index Facilities, Inc. signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Akila Information Systems Pte. Limited on 23rd May 2023 to collaboratively leverage the Akila’s digital platform.

The signing ceremony held in Tokyo, Japan, was attended by representatives from both companies, including Mr. Philippe Obry, Co-Founcer and Mr. Ryota Fujii, Head of Japan Businesses from Akila Information Systems, and Mr. Kimikazu Uemura, CEO and Ms. Wakako Kimura, Executive Officer from Index Facilities.

 

ESG (Environment Social Governance) focused digital twin platform offered by Akila Information Systems not only optimizes building operations and management but also addresses broader infrastructure-related issues such as energy management and CO2 emissions. This platform proves to be a valuable tool for Index Facilities and Index Group, which specialize in facility management consulting and project management services.

 

The requirements for CO2 emission reduction efforts in construction projects and facility management and operations at hospitals, universities, and public buildings have been increasing. Furthermore, rising material costs, labor shortages, and aging facilities are making facility management and project difficult tasks. Index Facilities' collaboration with Akila will support the efficient, optimized, and long-life cycle of facilities by leveraging digital technologies. Index Facilities will also continue supporting local community development through ESG initiatives.

 

Both parties will engage in regular discussions on collaboration strategies to accelerate projects to materialize the goals.
